Introduction

WitChess is a product of WitShells Studio (SMC-Private Limited), referred to in this document as “WitShells”, “we”, “us”, or “our”. We operate the WitChess mobile application, website at witchess.witshells.com, and all related services (collectively referred to as the “Platform”).

We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we protect it, and your rights regarding your personal data. By using our Platform, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

This policy is written to comply with applicable privacy laws including but not limited to Pakistan’s Personal Data Protection Act, the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) where applicable.

Information We Collect

Information You Provide Directly

Account information — username, email address, and password when you register
Profile information — display name, avatar, and any optional profile details you choose to add
Wallet address — your cryptocurrency wallet address (USDT TRC-20 or other networks) if you choose to submit a withdrawal request
Communications — messages you send to our support team or through any contact form

Information Collected Automatically

Device information — device type, operating system version, unique device identifiers, mobile network information
Usage data — game activity, match history, leaderboard positions, WitCoin balance and transaction history, features accessed, time spent on Platform
Log data — IP address, access times, pages or screens viewed, app crashes and performance data
Location data — approximate location derived from IP address only. We do not collect precise GPS location unless you explicitly enable local same-WiFi match discovery, in which case only local network information is used and never stored on our servers

Information From Third Parties

Advertising networks — our Platform uses Unity LevelPlay (ironSource) and associated ad network partners to serve advertisements. These partners may collect device identifiers and usage data to serve relevant advertisements. Please refer to Unity’s Privacy Policy for details on their data practices
Analytics providers — we may use third-party analytics tools to understand how users interact with our Platform
Authentication providers — if you choose to sign in using a third-party service, we receive basic profile information from that provider as permitted by your settings

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

To provide and operate the Platform — creating and managing your account, enabling gameplay, processing WitCoin transactions, calculating leaderboard rankings
To process prize distributions — using your wallet address solely to send USDT prize rewards you have earned and requested
To improve the Platform — understanding how users interact with features, fixing bugs, optimizing performance
To serve advertisements — displaying opt-in rewarded advertisements through our advertising partners. You are never required to watch advertisements
To communicate with you — sending important account notifications, prize distribution confirmations, platform updates, and responding to your support requests
To ensure fair play — detecting and preventing cheating, fraud, multiple account abuse, or any manipulation of the prize or leaderboard system
To comply with legal obligations — maintaining records as required by applicable law and responding to lawful requests from authorities
To protect our Platform and users — identifying and addressing security threats, abuse, or violations of our Terms of Service

WitCoin and Financial Data

WitCoin (WIT) is an internal utility currency of the WitShells Platform. It is not a cryptocurrency, blockchain token, or financial instrument of any kind. WitCoin has no guaranteed monetary value and cannot be purchased with real money directly from WitShells.

Wallet addresses you provide are treated as sensitive financial personal data. We apply the following protections:

Wallet addresses are stored encrypted at rest
Wallet addresses are used solely for the purpose of sending prize payouts you have explicitly requested
We do not share wallet addresses with any third party except as required to process your withdrawal
We do not store transaction history on external blockchains — blockchain transactions are public by nature once processed
We recommend using a dedicated wallet address for Platform withdrawals rather than your primary personal wallet

Advertising

Our Platform offers optional rewarded advertisements. Watching advertisements is entirely voluntary and user-initiated. We never force or interrupt gameplay with mandatory advertisements.

Our advertising partners, including Unity LevelPlay (ironSource) and their network partners, may use cookies, device identifiers, and similar technologies to serve advertisements that may be relevant to your interests. These partners operate under their own privacy policies.

You may opt out of personalized advertising by:

Adjusting your device’s advertising settings (Limit Ad Tracking on iOS, Opt out of Ads Personalization on Android)
Contacting us at the email address below to request exclusion from targeted advertising

Opting out of personalized advertising does not remove ads from the Platform — it means ads served may be less relevant to your interests.

We do not sell your personal data to any third party. We do not share your personal data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

Service providers — trusted third-party vendors who assist us in operating the Platform, such as cloud hosting providers, analytics services, and advertising networks, under strict confidentiality agreements
Legal requirements — when required by law, court order, or governmental authority in any jurisdiction
Safety and security — when necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of WitShells, our users, or the public
Business transfers — in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your data becomes subject to a different privacy policy
With your consent — in any other circumstances with your explicit consent

Leaderboard usernames and ranks are publicly visible within the Platform. We do not publicly display email addresses, wallet addresses, or any other personal information.

Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with our services.

Specifically:

Account data — retained for the lifetime of your account plus 90 days after deletion
Match and leaderboard history — retained for 24 months for dispute resolution purposes
Wallet addresses — retained until you remove them from your account or delete your account
Withdrawal records — retained for 5 years for financial record-keeping compliance
Log and usage data — retained for 12 months then automatically deleted

You may request deletion of your data at any time as described in the Your Rights section below.

Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal data including:

Encrypted data transmission using HTTPS/TLS
Encrypted storage of sensitive data including wallet addresses
Access controls limiting data access to authorized personnel only
Regular security reviews of our systems and practices

No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a data breach that affects your rights and freedoms, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

Children’s Privacy

The WitChess Platform is intended for users aged 18 and above due to the presence of real-value prize features. We do not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under the age of 18.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately at the address below. We will promptly delete such information from our systems.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
Correction — request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data
Deletion — request deletion of your personal data, subject to our legal retention obligations
Portability — request your data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format

WitShells is based in Pakistan. If you access our Platform from outside Pakistan, your data may be transferred to and processed in Pakistan or other countries where our service providers operate. We ensure that any such transfers comply with applicable data protection laws and that appropriate safeguards are in place.

Third-Party Links and Services

Our Platform may contain links to third-party websites or services. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third-party services. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you access through our Platform.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. When we make material changes, we will notify you through the Platform or by email at least 30 days before the changes take effect.

Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to the updated policy, you must stop using the Platform and may request deletion of your account.
